The Lavaux region

The Lavaux area is Switzerland's largest contiguous vineyard area with terrace after terrace offering magnificent views.

​

The house is situated in Chardonne, a beautiful ancient wine maker village with several wine cellars.

​

The natural, cultural and culinary highlights of Lavaux are definitely well worth a visit.

​

It is possible to take the "Train des Vignes" or the "Lavaux Express" to visit small towns and taste local wine products.

​

There are multiples guides that will help you discover this region, considered as one of Switzerland’s most beautiful.

Vevey, Montreux and Lausanne Olympic City

The house is very close to multiples small and charming cities

​

  • Vevey (10 mins) - Charlie Chaplin’s town with a very charming old town, full of cafes and restaurants, as well as activities for children in case it is raining

  • Montreux (20 mins) - Montreux Jazz festival’s city, with lovely walk path by the Lake Leman 

  • Lausanne (25 min) is a vibrant city and its setting is extremely picturesque.  Sports and culture are given a high profile in the Olympic capital.

  • Geneva (1 hour) and its international airport. Geneva is Switzerland’s most international city.

Leman Lake and Mountains

The house is surrounded with nature everywhere, and is close to lots of highlights. Below few ideas...

  • The Mont Pèlerin (5 min) small mountain just above Chardonne and the Plein Ciel tower – an elevator offering a panoramic views of the region

  • There are multiple beaches by the Leman Lake, and I can give some hidden ones!

  • Les Pleiades, Les Avants or Les Rochers de Naye  (30 min),  beautiful mountains with very easy access by train and funicular

  • Les Paccots (25 min) - a very accessible mountain in Fribourg region, only 25 minutes from Chardonne for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter
